Saint of the Week Project:

Saints are holy people who listen to God and let God work through them.

Each week, on Monday, one student will take home a copy of Amy Welborn’s book, Loyola Kids Book of Saints.

Students and parents will have until 1 week from Friday to complete project.

Teacher will assign saints to students for their report.

Students will write a report about their saint to include:

• Saint’s name
• Who was their saint?
• Why were they chosen to be a saint, what made them so special, their major achievement?
• Time period of saint.
• What was the saint’s place of origin?
• Does your saint have a special patronage?
• When is your saint’s feast day?

Students will make a model of their saint being provided with a plastic cup and Styrofoam ball.

Teacher will model the report with Mary, St. Joseph, the Husband of Mary,

St. Joachim and Anne, St. Peter and Paul the Apostles
